Information I wish I had when my kids were diagnosed with Autism

Then information I wish I had when my daughters were diagnosed with Autism was first, what is autism? Secondly what flags I should have seen as a mother. I am sure that when I went for the post-natal clinics someone was seeing the symptoms but nobody was telling me or documenting anything that was beyond ordinary for me. Some of the symptoms that one of my children had was not holding eye contact, not standing up. I would have wished to have received information on early detection, intervention once my child was diagnosed.

I wished I had a support network of parents who were going through the same issues I was going through. I would have loved to get information as they grow what to do in regard to their socialization and their schooling. I still do not have all of it but I am at a better place than I was before.
